Child Custody

Relocation is an issue that is often addressed after an initial custody order is established. Florida Statute 61.13001 specifically addresses the issue of relocation. This statute prevents a residential parent from relocating their residence more than 50 miles unless the parties enter into a written agreement before the move or a court approves the relocation. We help our clients understand the procedures for seeking relocation, or preventing the custodial parent from moving a child.

Determined by a mathematical formula, child support obligations in Florida can cause parents a great deal of stress.
